HOW THE RECORD WORKS
Evidence first. Certainty in proportion.
Sources
Prefer primary records: laboratory verification pages, dated certificates, archived vendor pages, regulator records, company filings, original announcements, and price lists. A screenshot can preserve a record, but a stable source link is easier for others to verify.
Laboratory reports
A report describes the submitted sample and the methods actually performed. It does not automatically prove manufacturer identity, chain of custody, every vial in a batch, or the quality of future batches.
Dates and freshness
Claims and markets change. Posts should include the observation date when it matters. Newer evidence does not erase older evidence; it adds another point to the timeline.
Missing evidence
Missing data is not a pass or a failure. It is shown as missing. “Needs evidence” is a request for support, not a declaration that the post is false.
Corrections
Correct the visible record and preserve the reason for a material change. Quiet deletion makes the paper trail less useful.
