How to build a useful incident timeline

Lead with dates and records, not labels. Preserve the original claim, payment or fulfillment milestone when relevant, public response, correction, and what remains unresolved. Link primary material and distinguish what you observed from what another person reported.

Do not post private addresses, phone numbers, medical information, or identifying details that are not necessary to understand the event. A careful timeline is more useful than a pile-on.
